The fact that I'm online and posting on my blog (in English for those who don't completely understand Spanish mais qui font l'effort ;) .. ) on my last day on France is three things at the same time: It is thrice sad, unsuprising and actually planned...
You see, the last few days/weeks (and those who follow) have been proper of a Lord of the Rings chapter, full of comings and goings as well as encounters and disencounters (or whatever)... but actually not half as much of change of plans! Luckily (is it?) I needn't couchsurf during the last stage of my five month séjour so I didn't (in theory) leave anyone waiting for me at the doorstep.
Rather than that, my change of plans, my search for cheap tickets and the lack of a place where to leave my luggage while I strolled through Grenoble gave me no other option but to stay almost all day "hanging out" at CelsiusCafe (which, by the way, if a little expensive, is well worth it).. so here i am, admitting once again that my posting ideas outgrew me (hell, which is the theorical date of the last post?? and to note I have a post for each day ever since until today)... Sorry for those who kept track of the geek week, but most probably further posts won't appear on the feed as this post in an actual real date (for a change) will overwrite "older news" (.. funny).. no worries, though.. I'll leave a note when all that's set up .. probably by 2009 :)
As you see I'm quite in the nonsense mood today, so after a last note I'll go on making a few remarks when the time has stop and you have all day long in the middle of nowhere.
And the last remark is that this is by no means my official "salut la france" post.. I'm obviously preparing a typical "the-best-the-worst-the-phrases-the-girls-the-songs-the-places-the-teachers" kind of post.. and of course It'll take me around another year (being frank) before I'm finished with the new posting mode (unless otherwise noted and after finishing the tech week, of course): the france souvenirs... so stay tuned :P
So first thing in the morning I was at the gare at 7 freaking am to wave goodbye my friend here at Grenoble (who has a very funny/misfortunate/incredible story to tell but that's up to him)... after that I sat around with my straight 50, possibly 60 kgs of luggage :S and just stayet there, close to an electric contact ^^ .. badly enough, the contact gave no electricity and there was no free Internet signal... this was good because after two hours of staring at skiing chicks I moved my ass, not before being insulted by a beggarwoman who gave such a "warm" smile while kindly asking for an "oirro" and then quickly stammered "stupilf" before storming away... no comments..
After that I tried my luck chez McDo but it didn't work out very well... I can't remember the last time I ate an actual burger (muffin, actually) at that place (fries rule
, though) and I broke my record just so I could get the wifi access but ooohhh surprise... these french people aren't that stupid at all and all contacts were blocked T_T ... so I just made myself to the idea, tried my best at enjoying my muffin with bacon or whatever and after that I stared out the window for about two hours.
I saw people, beggars, dogs, postmen, chicks, couples, policemen, drunks, skiiers (even if it's not written like that), old ladies, crooked men, girls in shirts even though it was freezing... sigh, it was quite a sight.. though I was lost in my thoughts, every now and then I took a glance to see what had changed around me.. well, it was a cool exercise!
A little before 11am I grabbed all my stuff in front of the astonished looks of the employees and when to the cyber where I am right now :)
At mid afternoon I decided to take a small walk around and after talking with the owner he was cool about me leaving all my stuff there in the middle of everything :) .. and off I want with a pair of missions in mind, namely retourning a DVD (couple of them, actually) I had bought at FNAC and which I wouldn't need in the end (yeah sometimes I'm such a girl, not making up my mind, right?). So... the problem was that I didn't have my ticket, I guess I throwed it away.. and unlike earlier when leaving the gare, this time there was no tram just waiting gloriously for me outside (if you ever go to the Grenoble's train station you'll understand) .. this time, on the contrary, it seemed that that bastard named Murphy was putting all his effort in f*cking the nerves out of me.. just for not making a long story even longer sake, I will say that I made not 1, not 2... not 3... not 7 but 8.. EIGHT... HUIT.. ... OOOOCHOOOOOO lines getting my remboursement !! But happily, it all worked well in the end.. here's a summary:
- Accueil. "oui, c'est avec M à l'entrée" (security guard that adminsitrates refunds? weird)
Oh yeah.. and the guy sitting on the desk beside my is watching porn
And.. uhm... yeah, that's pretty much it.. but oohh Grenoble... it's a nice town, full of skiis all around and oohhh them beautiful mountains!! Calling me towards them... to the paradise beyond them !! And well since this is going nowhere I'm going to stop here... I leave you with some nice Alpes pictures... someday, baby !!
And fear not, because the normal blog schedule will return.. uhm... soon :)
salut !!
